What a beautiful and inspiring collection, Cole. Thank you for sharing (and for including my canola field). I can’t help thinking that if we all took the time to really see the beauty in simple things our minds would be lighter.
Agreed. I think the time it takes, though, requires practice. It's a verb in some way, and so you have to keep at it or you forget to do it at all. Thank you for sharing your pic with us, and I hope you continue to find and share moments of beauty with this community!
These are all beautiful photographs, and so I feel grateful for my photo to have been included among them. As always, thank you for this uplifting post series. Photographs of all kinds, from the amateur to professional, can always reach a very reflective place in me. Also, this is such a great way to have a window to this beautiful world… and with a large dose of gratitude to boot!! Thank you, Cole!
The October edition of “In Search of Beautiful Things” is a charming reminder of the beauty around us. The variety of moments, like “the bottlebrush glowing like a flame at dusk,” offers a gentle push to notice the magic in the mundane. Seeing the community spirit grow through this lovely, collaborative project is terrific.
What a lovely, eclectic collection of lovely moments. Little windows into the things people around the world have noticed and recorded. Mostly “ordinary” things, that we should never take for granted or become numb to. Thanks for including mine.
Thank you for curating this lovely series, wonderful idea, so much beauty from so many people and places. An uplifting start to my day as I head out to Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in Golden Gate Park.
Sounds like an amazing time, Shawn. I'm always on the lookout for moments of beauty that are less...organic/natural. Most submissions are. So, if you spot any, take a great pic and email them to me at 5AMStoryTalk@gmail.com.
I wish more people shared urban photos. I also thought the circular nature of it matched the circular night to day to night approach I took to this curation. Thanks for sharing it!
Such beauty in the majestic and the mundane. One need only stop and look. A few had such beauty as to move me to tears. I’ll never travel to the Himalayas, but will always marvel at its majesty (#23). Thank you for reminding me.
This is such a beautiful idea. It's genuinely lifted my spirits, which was much needed today.
Then, mission accomplished, Deb!
Love these reminders that beauty is all around us! A gorgeous, uplifting collection.
What a beautiful collection! I love them and am so touched mine is in there—totally forgot I'd sent it in. Thank you for making me smile.
*would also love to use them as writing inspiration*
They are there for your inspiration!
So many beautiful moments! Thanks for including mine!
And thank you for contributing!
