Is David Bowie correct in his assessment? Yes... but sometimes I want to have more of the same. I had every Bowie album through Alladin Sane but stopped. I loved him when nobody knew him because he took chances and sang about what people thought which risked his rise to fame. Bowie was so good he rose with Honky Dory and hit his apogee by creating the Spiders From Mars.
Then there was no longer Spiders From Mars and albums released with just radio play songs.
Bowie and Dylan can develop songs that seem to be created for covers and that part I totally enjoy.
Love this. Thank you for posting.
I'm glad to hear it resonated with you, Jeff.
Is that Damien Syco’s voice I hear? 😉
Is there some way in which you're reading my deflated mind/heart and sending in the medicine? Thank you.
You're welcome. I'm an artist, so I'm just reacting to the same things others with creative ambitions are.

Your complain is as the audience. This article speaks to the experience of the artist, and specifically how to create great, meaningful work.
The biggest tip is, “We're not gonna talk about Judy.”
