"A Trip to the Moon" is required viewing for every sci-fi fan. Georges Melies's imganitive, dream-like short odyssey remains a titular cinematic masterpiece showcasing the genre's limitless potential.

Absolutely. I don't understand why it's such a rarity to meet screenwriters or even filmmakers in general who've seen it.

"A Trip to the Moon" left me in awe. Méliès' visuals and scope were transcendent due to his audacity. His pioneering short film established the foundation for epic sci-fi on both film and television.

Definitely. Also, I've just looked at your Substack and am about to go down a rabbit hole. In scanning what you write about, I got to where you wrote about RYE LANE and was sold. I lived in Peckham for two years in the late-teens, and I love that area. The film is the perfect love letter to it. More after I read some of your work!
