Comedian, musician, actress, and TV creator Riki Lindhome (Garfunkel and Oates, ‘Wednesday’, and ‘No Worries If Not’) returns for some more 5AM StoryTalk. In this bonus episode, she reveals the seminal piece of art that explains the entire trajectory of her life and still influences the art she creates today — the iconic 1975 musical A Chorus Line (though we’ll also touch on its 1985 film adaptation).
This deep dive into the artwork that changed Riki’s life forever is for all the dreamers out there — and not just artists. I mean, anyone who’s ever put it all on the line to become something more than the small world they were born into.
Note: A Chorus Line’s music is by Marvin Hamlisch with lyrics by Edward Kleban; the book was written by James Kirkwood Jr. and Nicholas Dante. The 1985 film adaptation was written by Arnold Schulman and directed by Richard Attenborough.
